La Route Verte - 7th stage
Parc Jura vaudois - Explore six Regional Nature Parks along La Route Verte wich takes you from Schaffhausen to Geneva to discover the living landscapes of the Jura Arc. Stage 7 cross the Jura vaudois Park from Le Sentier to Geneva.
Your journey along the Route Verte finishes on a high note with this seventh stage taking you from Le Sentier to Geneva. In the Jura vaudois Nature Park, start your day by climbing up to the Marchairuz pass. Before the climb, take time to stop and admire the Risoud forest that spreads over the northwest slope of the Joux Valley. Just before the mountain pass, turn into the Combe des Amburnex and discover an open and enchanting landscape. The downhill ride to the Lake Leman plain is just pure pleasure and takes you all the way to Geneva, arrival point of the Route Verte.
Living landscape: alpine cheese. In 2020, cheese-making in the high mountain pastures has been included in the inventory of intangible heritage and living traditions of the canton of Vaud. You can discover it and taste some local specialities in the Chalet du Pré-de-Bière, where family Germain lives in the summer.

Bois Chênes conservation area
The oak forest near to Genolier is a diverse habitat for plants and animals. Over a third of the forest area of 140 hectares is today under conservation protection, and here research is also carried out.
