Naturpark Pfyn-Finges - High above the Rhone valley, along magical Valais singletracks, discover hidden Alpine charms as you ride past idyllic mountain villages and through cultural landscapes.
Take the cable car from Leukerbad (Leukerbad) to the Rinderhütte, the starting point of a singletrack featuring magnificent views of the Rhone valley and the surrounding 4,000-metre peaks. Your route is varied and offers descents into subalpine terrain below Schafberg, followed by short climbs. From Bachalp, walk through fragrant pine forests and admire the view from the Rhone plain to the Mont Blanc massif. Follow playful paths filled with natural obstacles that take you on a discovery of the Alps and idyllic mountain villages. Dating from the 1970s, the satellite dishes at Leuk have been the subject of many rumours about American espionage. Immerse yourself in the city's cultural and historical past and don't miss a visit to Leuk Castle, with its glass dome designed by the famous architect Mario Botta.
