UNESCO Biosphäre Entlebuch - The Hotel Sporting is a family-run business and is situated directly opposite the gondola lift, which leads to the stunningly beautiful Marbachegg viewpoint.
The hotel is situated in a quiet location, just outside the charming village of Marbach. Directly opposite is the valley station of the Marbchegg gondola lift – a sunny paradise for day trips at 1,500 metres above sea level. The varied hiking routes and challenging cycle trails are particularly popular, and paragliders are also frequent visitors here.
The hosts ensure a pleasant stay with their warm and personalised service and the cosily refurbished rooms. The Duss family’s home is meant to feel like a home away from home for their guests. The daily fresh breakfast buffet is prepared with great attention to detail, featuring many high-quality products from the UNESCO Entlebuch Biosphere Reserve.
The hotel’s own sauna is available for physical relaxation. You can also book, by prior arrangement, a soothing back or full-body massage, or a calming hot-stone massage ‘for body and mind’.

A varied route along the Schrattenfluh to Marbachegg with beautiful views of the Bernese Alps all the way to the Jura. From Marbachegg, the route leads back to Marbach via the Clientis Flowtrail.
